Of course, here on our blog you will find the most in depth news on what is new at Valor and upcoming events etc.

But did you know you can follow me on Twitter and get quick updates all the time?  That’s right, even we are on Twitter.  That wonderful, seemingly useless service you see everywhere now.  Truth is, it’s not so useless once you start using it.  Just this summer I must have answered at least one hundred questions about ammo availability from people on twitter.  If you’re not using it for your company’s presence, I would recomend it, because your customers are using it.  You can follow us here: http://twitter.com/valorcorp.

Another place you can look for us is on YouTube.  I had promised to get this up and running earlier this year, but I have just not had the time.  My goal is to show you new products as we get them or just answer questions about anything related to our business and your’s.  We may even do some live brodcasts.  I’ll post more info as that gets close.

And of course, just watch the website.  There are always new features coming.  Right now I am working a new search for guns that should change the way you look for guns.  I’m also working on  integrating your store’s info into the product pages that are available to the public.  I will post more info on this soon because I’d like your feedback on this one.

So, enjoy what’s left of your summer and enjoy the rest of 2009, it should be busy.

So what’s changed?  Well, my position for one.   I am now President of Valor and have elected to take Valor in a different direction.  We have brought on a new Sales Director, Ray Santos, who has been a great addition.  And we have exited the Fishing Tackle business and have become focused on firearms, ammo and accessories.

Our inventory levels in these categories are up (excpet for the obvious ammo situation).  We have a knowledgeable, dedicated sales staff to take care of you.  We will have a new and greatly improved website very soon. And our warehouse is at its most optimum level ever.

So, why the new blog?  Well, we began shooting some videos.  You may have seen them mentioned if you follow me on twitter.  We are doing some simple product introduction and demonstration videos.  These videos serve a couple of purposes.  One is they will better inform you of products you may not have seen yet and two, you can use these videos on your own site to promote the same products.  We don’t mention prices in the videos and we only mention Valor to the viewer as the company they should have their own dealer contact.

The first video was literally done in minutes on my laptop.  We had been kicking the idea around and I said let’s do it.  So we stacked up some boxes, put the laptop down on them, turned on imovie and let it rip.  One take later, here’s our first video.

So what I want to know now is… What other items do you want to see?  We have one down and about 16,000 to go.  We will be shooting these videos regularly, especially when new product comes in.  The quality will improve when we get a little studio set up, but until then, my laptop will have to do.  We may even take a few products to the range.

Look for these videos on this blog and on the corresponding item’s page.  Feel free to use them on your site.  Subscribe to our Channel on youtube here.  Also watch for some live stuff if we get something in that just can’t wait.  Just follow us on twitter and you will be the first to know when we get something hot that needs to be shared.
